Membership/Setup/Admin/Orientation Committee

Membership

  • Provide a resource table for members to get referrals to other career services providers and get questions answered (registration, participation, etc.)
  • Provide limited-run (10-20) business card printing at the meetings
  • Maintain weekly meeting sign-in sheets and committee signup sheets
  • Maintain members roster / data base
  • Track meeting attendance
  • Track status of members (active, inactive, Alumni, temp job)

New Member Orientation

  • Provide the new member orientation training
  • Greet new members as they arrive for the orientation, steering them to the orientation training room

Setup

  • Provide for the physical comfort of our members during the meeting
  • Set up the coffee, literature, and sign used in the meetings
  • Clean up and takes home group materials

Administrative

  • Monitor expenditures
  • Keep the bank checkbook
  • Record and post the minutes/announcements from each weekly meeting for members to access
  • Maintain any legal documents (Articles of Incorporation, bylaws, etc.) required by the Secretary of State’s office and files any required tax documents.


Meetings

The Membership Committee meets at 8:00am, before the weekly meetings. Orientation meets for training of new members at appropriate intervals
